The Shepherd’s Center is collecting the following items to be sent to Haiti through Connecting Connection which has been contacted by International Relief & Development. IRD is a government program affiliated with Denton-USAID program that ships items to relief areas.

Health Kits: wash cloth, hand towel, nail clippers, 7.2 oz. toothpaste (small trial size), toothbrush (cover or holder, thick comb, bar of Ivory soap, 2 shampoos (hotel size), 10 band aids; Zip lock bag with toothbrush, holder, thick comb, bar of Ivory soap, 7.2 oz. tube of toothpaste, nail clippers, 10 band aids enclosed.

School Kits: 2 spiral bound notebooks, 12 pc. construction paper (any color), one 12” ruler; Zip lock bag with 6 pencils,

3 pens, 12 colored pencils, 1 pink pearl eraser, 3 pencil erasers, one 3 oz. school glue, 1 scissor, 1 box of 24 crayons enclosed.

These items can be dropped off at the Shepherd’s Center or the box in the narthex at church. Thank you.

What is it???? 

It is a small group opportunity for 8 people to gather and share a meal at least 4 times a year. 

We will place 8 people (individuals and couples)

in a group. 

The group will decide how often they meet. It may be every other month, or quarterly. 

Each twosome will take turns arranging the gathering. It may be in the home or it may be in a restaurant. Each group will determine how it meets. If you are interested, please sign up on the posted sheet on the bulletin board. 

We will begin this fun, tasty small group opportunity in January 2010.
