Finance Committee
The congregation Council is ultimately responsible for the financial well-being of the congregation. The Finance Committee is the vehicle by which the council fulfills its responsibilities on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis. Subcommittees:

Health and Safety Committee
The objective of this committee is to promote to promote a safe environment and an understanding that the church has a role in healing that encompasses body, mind, and spirit. |
Worship & Music Committee
Objectives of this committee are to strengthen the worship experience of the congregation and visitors, and encourage the mutual cooperation and participation of members in the variations and enhancement of worship experiences here at First English. Link to the Worship and Music page. Subcommittee:

Property & Building Committee
Objectives include the proper maintenance and repair of the church property and general protection of the congregation against loss or damage. Subcommittees:

Faith Formation and Learning Team
The objective of this team is to plan and administer faith formation ministry to all ages, involve the youth of the congregation in the work of Christ, provide and nurture spiritual growth for all ages and promote genuine Christian fellowship for the youth. The committee will determine policies and recruit leaders and facilitators. Evangelism/Congregational Life Committee
The objectives of this Committee is to bring the Gospel to the de-churched and un-churched, enlisting all of God’s people in the work of spreading the Gospel and deepen the faith and involvement of members of this congregation in the life of the church. Subcommittee:

Social Ministry Committee
Objective of this Committee is to promote a ministry of love in action by involving the congregation in the meeting the physical and social needs of people within the congregation, community, and world. Projects:

Supporting Others....DONATE TO THE GOOD SAMARITAN FUND
Community members can donate to the CCIC Good Samaritan Fund directly or through the Cannon Falls Family Fare grocery receipts. When $150,000 is counted in receipts, the Fund will receive $1,000. (This program is ending March 1, 2023.) The collection box is in the church office. The Good Samaritan Fund is for EMERGENCIES ONLY and can only be used ONCE during the calendar year and for Cannon Falls community members. All other inquiries for monies should be done through the Public Safety Building - 918 River Rd., Cannon Falls. The Good Samaritan Fund is a joint effort of area churches to support community members with emergency needs. Donate to help your community members today! |

(Housed in Lower Level of First English Lutheran Church, Enter Door #5) For more than 25 years, Cannon Falls Food Shelf has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for the hungry, needy and politically under-represented members of our community family. Find out how you can contribute to the future of someone in need through donations of money and time. Cannon Falls Food Shelf Schedule 1st Saturday of the Month 10 a.m.—Noon 2nd Thursday of the Month 10 a.m.-Noon 3rd Thursday of the Month 4:30-6:30 p.m. 4th Thursday of the Month 10 a.m.—Noon 511 W. CF Food Shelf Board meets the second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. every other month. |
